Wendell Pigman (1931-1973) was born in New York City. After graduating high school, he enlisted in the Marine Corps and saw active duty in the Korean War. In 1955, Pigman graduated from Cornell University and went on to earn a master¿s degree from Princeton University¿s Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs.
